Glass Ceiling in The New Age

Gender Inequalities - It still EXISTS!

One must first understand what gender and equality means before distinguishing the differences of treatment by various groups on the inequality of this topic. According to The World Health Organization (WHO), "Gender" refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men or women. Generally, the normal society deems that "Gender" refers to the femininity or masculinity of a given species, but according to WHO, the word "Sex" is what refers to the biological characteristics that distinguishes between a man and woman. So, now that we have established that "Gender" actually is the construe of social roles like attitudes and behaviors, we can begin to define equality of these roles, and how inequality is still flourishing in the New Age Society.

What is a Glass Ceiling? How does one break through the glass ceiling?

A glass ceiling is where there exists an unimpeachable barriers that keep minorities and women from rising to the top
